Hello beauties! 🙂 Today’s post is going to be about my empties, or the products I have used up. I love to read or watch about people’s empties because they have used up the whole product so they will really know how they feel about it. In my empties, I have a lot of mascara samples from a kit a got awhile ago from Sephora, and I just recently finished most of them. Well finished wouldn’t really be the correct word for some of them, more like I hated them so much that I couldn’t stand using them anymore. But that is besides the point. I will link everything I talk about in this post, so if you are interested in them, you can check them out!
Lush Herbalism (not pictured)- My first empty I will be talking about is Lush’s Herbalism skin cleanser. I do not know where the container was when I was taking pictures, so it was left out. But I figured it still deserved a mini review. I really love the cleanser, it kept my skin from breaking out and helped with some of the redness I had. It exfoliated really well and didn’t make my face dry at all. Once I go back to Lush, I will probably repurchase this if I don’t want to try another cleanser from there.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara– This mascara is one of my favorites of the Sephora kit! It gave my lashes really nice volume without being really clumpy. It did however smudge a little under my eyes after wearing it for a couple of hours so I probably will not repurchase this.
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara– This mascara is one of my least favorites ever. It was very wet and made my lashes clump together even with just one coat. When I did manage to unclump them, within the hour I had raccoon eyes and I am not about that life. Needless to say, I will not be repurchasing it.
YSL Babydoll Mascara– This would have to be one of my most favorite mascaras of all time. But I recently found something that happens to be a little bit better in my opinion, and that is the Well People Expressionist Mascara. Although both are pretty expensive, the Well People is about $10 less than the YSL one. Since I found a better alternative for myself, the YSL Babydoll will have to sit at Sephora for another makeup addict to snatch up.
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara– This mascara was really nice, but it made my lashes crunchy. And that has to one of my biggest pet peeves about mascaras. It feels like your lashes good just crack and break off type of crunchy. This one did not get used up so that also means I will not repurchase it.
Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara– Ladies and gentlemen, you are looking at my favorite high end mascara as of right now. My lashes look beyond perfect when I use this and it will definitely be repurchased.
Lorac Front of the Line Pro Liquid Eyeliner- I really loved almost everything about this eyeliner; it was really nice to create thin or thick lines and very easy to use, except for that it wasn’t a matte black. But I used it all up anyway. Instead of repurchasing this, I purchased the Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo eyeliner and they have pretty close formulas.
Dior Lash Plumping Serum– This is the best thing that has ever happened to my lashes. It is the one extra step to bigger lashes that look like false lashes. The best thing is that it actually helps plump up your lashes in the long run, so basically if you haven’t tried it, you need to! Once I am done with the primer I am currently using, this will be repurchased.
Covergirl Clump Crusher– This has been sitting in my empties box since March, and a lot has happened since then. It used to be my favorite drugstore mascara, until I found my Maybelline Lash Sensational. It separates really well and adds lots of length to your lashes. In all honesty, I will most likely repurchase this then fall in love with it again. It is a dangerous cycle.
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze– I have had this for about 3 years now, so it is all dried up. I loved to use this on its own and under shadows because it just looked so beautiful and effortless. I am interested in trying other colors, so more of the Color Tattoos will be repurchased.
Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer– It was a sad day when I ran out of this primer. It was the first primer I had found that controlled the oil on my lids and helped my shadows last. But I wanted to try some other primers so I purchased the Smashbox Photo Finish one and it is my new favorite. Sadly, this will not be repurchased.
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer– I have already repurchased this gem. It is my hands down favorite concealer of all time. I use it everyday and it is just perfect. If you are looking for a great drugstore concealer, this is it!
Pur Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup– I used to use this everyday a long time ago, but just randomly stopped using it. I found that to cover everything, it looked really powdery. I haven’t tried lots of powder foundations, so I can’t compare it to anything, but I think there are probably better ones out there. I will not be repurchasing this just because I do not absolutely love it.
Beauty Blender– Last but not least is my beauty blender. It is looking pretty rough and beaten down. I have since been using the Real Techniques sponge, which isn’t really as good as this, but pretty close. I might breakdown and repurchase this again, but so far I am pretty content with my Real Techniques one.
Sorry this post was so long, I had a lot of empties to share with you! What did you guys think about it? Let me know! I love reading and responding to comments! As always have a great rest of your day and be sure to come back for my next post! 🙂
P.S. Sorry it has been so long since I posted, school has started up again and it has been less than joyful! Another post will be up within the week to help make up for that! 😀
