Hello beauties!! 🙂 Today’s post is going to be on the Benefit Feelin’ Cheeky set. This set contains their two most popular tints and one of their highlighters in a mini form. Each of the minis are 0.13 US fluid ounces. So they are very tiny and very cute. Tiny things are inevitably cute. To start off, this little set is $18 dollars, but each little tint or highlighter full-sized is $30. So you are just paying to try out these little tints. I am so sorry that you can’t purchase this anywhere but the airport kiosk! I am still reviewing this for the purpose of the products inside and sharing my thoughts about them. Now to talk about that airport kiosk. As you may know, I went on vacation late last month. But the one thing I was most excited for was going to the Dallas airport to see the Benefit vending machine. It was so glorious. So much makeup. Of course I took a picture. OK maybe four. That is just more for you to see. I am sorry that they are a little blurry, they were taken with my phone and a very excited me.
You browse on a built in digital screen, choose your product you want, put it in your basket, then use your credit or debit card to pay. And then the most amazing thing ever; a mechanical basket goes and gets your product then gives it to you. However, I did not get a picture of that, it seemed to slip my mind. Anyways, the Benefit vending machine was the highlight of coming home from vacation and probably the greatest idea a makeup company could ever have. Now that we have chatted about the vending machine (aka the greatest thing ever in an airport) let’s go ahead a talk about the actual product I bought.
Benefit Feelin’ Cheeky (I think you can only get this at the kiosk at the airport)
First, I will talk about the Posie Tint, which is a lip and cheek stain. The color it is described as is a poppy-pink, which I think is pretty good match. It is a very girly and pretty pink. It is a very staining tint, but I wish it was a little more pigmented. When I used it on my lips, I could’t tell anything was there, but when I use it on my cheeks, it is such a light wash of color that it doesn’t really make a difference. But, you can build it up, so that is still good. I like to put it on my hand first and use a stippling brush to apply it to my cheeks, but for lips, I use the little brush and directly apply it to them. Which by the way, is pretty weird to get used to. I feel like I am painting nail polish on my lips. All in all, I like Posie Tint but not enough to buy the full size.
Second, I will talk about High Beam, which is a liquid highlighter. It is a gorgeous light pinky champagne color. Oh so perfect. I usually use the little brush to dot it by the high points of my face (i.e. cheekbones, brow bone, and cupids bow) then blend it in with my fingers. It gives the most perfect, glowing from within sheen. Like an angel came down and blessed your cheekbones with radiance. And you do not need a lot to achieve your glow. This is by far my favorite product in this kit and I love to use it whenever I am not wearing Champagne Pop. I will probably end up buying this if I can’t find anything better within the time I have it.
Third and finally, I will talk about Bene Tint, which is a lip and cheek stain just like Posie Tint. This is supposed to be a rose tinted stain, but I beg to differ. This is probably my least favorite thing ever. It is so frustrating for me. I know a lot of people like it which is why I am so determined to like it too. I do not know what is wrong with it or me, but I just can’t get it to work for me. It has a very watery consistency, while the Posie Tint is a lot thicker and easier to work with. It likes to soak up very fast so I can’t put it on my hand then use a stippling brush to put it on my cheeks. I have to put it directly on my cheek and then hurry and blend it out really fast. Even then it still leaves a circle on my cheek of where I dotted it first. On my lips, it does absolutely nothing. I brush it on and then it just disappears. There is no tint or anything left behind. Only a very frustrated me. When I tried to swatch it, it just ran off my hand because of the consistency, then left a rose tinted trail. Sure it shows up on my hand, but I cannot for the life of me get it to show up on my lips. If you have any tips on getting this to work, please let me know.
