Hello beauties!! I am a little late posting because I wanted to wait until my new lights and tripod got to my house so I could take awesome pictures for this post! And let me say, I am so excited and can barely believe I finally have good lighting to take really good quality photos for my blog!!! I hope with these new editions to my photography equipment I can improve my blog, and have better pictures in future posts! I also am mapping out a new plan for myself to make more time for my blog since school will be out next week. So I hope you guys will be looking forward to my future posts because I most certainly am! Now that I have explained everything and gave a little update, let’s talk about the May Beauty Solutions Birchbox! The Beauty Solutions boxes are quite new for Birchbox I believe. They send out an email each month before any boxes are sent and you get to choose between 1 guaranteed sample between a bunch of samples or the Beauty Solutions which has a whole box full of guaranteed samples. I of course chose the Beauty Solutions and am very happy with it! So let’s get into the samples! Also, if you are interested in joining Birchbox, click here.

This month’s box is a gorgeous purple top with a black and white spotted pattern. It came with the usual information card and then a coupon card for Domino.com. The coupon code to save 15% is “BIRCHBOX15”.

My first sample is the Cotz Flawless Complexion SPF 50. It is a like a tinted moisturizer, but a tinted sunscreen. I have worn this a few times now and it is very nice and helped even out my skin tone a little while still providing sun protection! The full size of this product is $20 on the Birchbox website. Find the product here.

My second sample is the Juara Candlenut Body Cream. It is a thick body lotion that smells so. good. I use it on my hands and it makes them really soft and soaks in quickly and I love that! The full size of this body cream is $38 on the Birchbox website, it is up there in price and I don’t think that a body cream is really worth $38 but I enjoyed the sample. Find the product here.

My third sample is the Marcelle Hydra-C 24 Hour Energizing Hydrating Gel. This is a thin gel moisturizer that I think is great getting into Summer. It never broke me out and I do really like it. I know there are some other drugstore gel moisturizers so I will also be checking those out too. The full size of this product is $24 on the Birchbox website, it is the average price for a nice skin care product that is high end. Find the product here.

My fourth sample is the Number 4 Blow Dry Lotion. It is supposed to help dry your hair faster when you get out of the shower. It isn’t sticky at all which I like and has a decent smell, but it doesn’t last linger, I also like that. I have only used it once and I noticed it did cut my hair drying time down a little and didn’t leave my hair stringy or gross at all. The full size of this product is $32 on the Birchbox website, which I think is about average for a good hair product, but I don’t know how much other blow drying lotions are so I can’t really compare. Find the product here.

My fifth and final sample is the Well People The Expressionist Mascara in Black. This is an all natural mascara that is supposed to be very lengthening to your eye lashes. My eye lashes are pretty long already, and it really just helped separate them and made them look really good but not too dramatic, which is good for my everyday makeup. It did smudge a little under my eyes, but not something I can’t handle. I also really liked the brush because it is a plastic or rubber brush and had short bristles, a lot like the Maybelline The Rocket or Covergirl’s Clump Crusher. It is a normal price for a high end mascara, $23.50 on the Birchbox website, so I think if you like all natural mascaras you should check it out. Find the product here.
