Hello everybody!! 🙂 I’m sorry it has almost been a week since I posted last!! But I am going to start posting only two times a week since it fits my schedule better, I was thinking Sundays and Thursdays. Alright, now we can get into the battle..of the palettes!!

First, you must ask yourself…do I really need a new eyeshadow palette? Well, lucky for you the answer is always yes. Many non-makeup-addicts (not me) have trouble finding out which of the Naked palettes to buy so today’s post is going to be dedicated to helping you find out if you prefer the original Naked or the Naked2. I will be giving you a description of both, compare them, and then tell you which one I prefer.

Naked:

The original Naked is a very warm palette, with a small mirror when you open the top. It has 2 mattes, 1 satin, and 9 shimmers making a total of 12 eyeshadows. It has a good amount of light colors for everyday looks and also a good amount of darker eyeshadows so you can do darker looks. I like that this palette has a good highlighting shade, but I don’t like how it doesn’t have a dark matte shade. It really depends whether you like shimmery colors in your crease or if you like mattes like me. I also like that there is a lot of lighter eyeshadows to choose from. I don’t like the suede-like material that it is covered in because it gets very dirty. This palette is a magnetic closing palette, which isn’t the best for traveling but is good for a beginner to have if you like more warm tones, and more shimmery darker looks.

Naked2

The Naked2 is a cooler toned eyeshadow palette. It has 3 mattes, 1 satin, and 8 shimmer eyeshadows making a total of 12 eyeshadows. I like how this palette has a matte and satin highlight shade and also a matte black to darken your eye look. I also love the metallic-shimmer shades in this palette. I also really like the big mirror that covers the inside of the palette, the metal material that surrounds the palette, and the snap closure so you know it won’t come open when you travel. However, I don’t like you you cannot fold the top to the back of the palette when you don’t want the mirror without the plastic piece holding it together breaking. This palette is good for beginners who love cooler toned eyeshadows and a more matte darker eye look.

Bottom Line

The original Naked is a warm toned palette with mostly shimmer eyeshadows while the Naked2 is a cooler toned eyeshadow palette with 3 matte eyeshadows to use as a highlight and transition and also one to deepen the crease. The original Naked has a suede-like material with a magnetic closure while the Naked2 has a metal material with a snap closure. They both come with brushes that I don’t really like because they are too stiff, and both have 12 good quality eyeshadows. It really just depends on if you like warmer tones or cooler tones.

Which Do I Prefer?

I prefer the Naked2 because I love cool toned eyeshadows and its packaging better. But keep in mind that just because it is my favorite of the two palettes, the original Naked still is a very good palette for beginners and it is really different for everyone.

Comment down below what palette you prefer and if you have other suggestions for later posts you can comment that too!!Thank you so much for reading my post and make sure you follow me to keep up with my next posts!! 🙂
